Airports and Holidays

Note to self: the reason that the streets are totally deserted when you get up at 4:45 in the morning and wander down 6th Avenue looking for a bank machine is NOT that everyone is in bed sleeping like any other same person would be doing. It is because they are all standing in a three mile long security line at Laguardia. I had totally forogtten the joys of travel during the holiday season.

The flight itself was packed but uneventful. Since it's been about 4 degrees for two days in Manhattan the 34 degree weather here feels positively balmy.
