OMG I think she's getting cuter!

The other night we decided that bath time in the baby bath tub, while having the advantage of being very safe in terms of baby slipping, getting scalded, drowning, etc, had the disadvantage of not actually immersing baby in warm water. Basically, it establishes a moat of warm water around baby which their feet and rear end touch, but everything else is out of the water. So you take a washcloth and squeeze it over them, but it's more of a sponge bath than the real deal.

So, I got in the bathtub (Jason did an excellent job of not capturing me in the pictures) and Jay handed Kaia over to me so I could hold her in the water and actually get her wet! We discovered that she's very floaty (as long as I held her head up, ther rest of her floated on its own) and that she LOVES bath time. She smiled the whole time, gazing over at Jason with the look you see in this photo. It's not exactly the easiest way to bathe her, since it requires that one of us get into the bathtub too, but it sure is a nice way to get a little one on one time with her.
