2 Months Old already

Last weekend, on Sunday, Kaia turned 2 months old. It's funny, becuase she doesn't look to me like she's changed all that much except for when I look back at the pictures from the hospital, and it doesn't seem like all that much time has passed until I think about how long ago that seems now.

She's just recently started doing several things that make her much more fun to play with and watch - including reaching out at things (although she still can't really grab them, it doens't always seem that her arms are obeying what she's telling them to do), holding on to things and putting them in her mouth, and most importantly, watching us and SMILING. Check out the smile on that girl! She's adorable, right (even bald)?
She's also been sleeping a bit more than before, although this one is tough to track now that I threw away my Baby Gantt chart where I tracked every meal, diaper change, nap, and fussy time. I can't believe the pediatrician actually said "I give you permission to STOP doing that." He wasn't the one waking up at 4 am wondering when the last time he fed her was. Anyway, sleep time changes about every week or so, and this week we seem to have picked the 1 or 2 am feeding up again after having slept until 4 or so for two weeks. Perhaps it's a growth spurt?
We've kept to the breastfeeding, which has in fact gotten a lot easier over time (or maybe I am just used to it now), although we've tried formula once or twice to make sure she's OK with it. She doesn't seem to care much about what's in the bottle, really.
So, Kaia-boo, happy (belated) 2 month birthday. Your momma and daddy love you VERY much.
